East African nation stands firm on Morocco’s sovereignty over Sahara
The Republic of Burundi has once again voiced its steadfast and unshakable backing for Morocco’s territorial integrity and full sovereignty over its entire land, encompassing the Sahara region.
This clear stance was formally reiterated in a joint statement issued following high-level talks between Burundi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Development Cooperation, Édouard Bizimana, and his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, who oversees Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad.
The diplomatic exchange underscored the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations while reaffirming support for Morocco’s position on the Sahara question.
