Cameroon: Ministry of Transport looks into advanced document security solutions

On 30 June 2026, the Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè, met with the heads of the National Printing House and Impact Palmarès R&D to discuss technological solutions aimed at strengthening the security of administrative documents and transport titles.

The Ministry of Transport is advancing its efforts to modernise and secure official documents. To this end, Minister Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè held talks with Oyono Bika Pierre, Director General of the National Printing House, and Léonie Kwekam, Managing Director of Impact Palmarès R&D.

During the meeting, Impact Palmarès R&D showcased a technical solution based on several innovative technologies designed to boost protection against counterfeiting. The proposed system would make documents harder to duplicate while simplifying authentication.

Discussions also covered the security of transport documents issued by the ministry, secure watermarking of letterhead paper, and ways to improve traceability of administrative records while increasing non-tax revenue.

While welcoming the proposed solutions, the Minister stressed the need for deeper technical, legal, administrative and financial assessments before any rollout. The reform aims to enhance the reliability and security of official documents.
