The President of France and Brigitte Macron welcomed Brice Oligui Nguema, President of Gabon, and his spouse Zita Oligui Nguema for a state visit. This high-level meeting, following President Emmanuel Macron’s recent visit to Gabon, underscored a renewed commitment to deepening ties between Gabon and France.
The two leaders engaged in discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation across key areas, including economic growth, energy development, cultural exchange, and defense. The visit also highlighted shared priorities in regional and global matters, with a particular focus on conserving the Congo Basin rainforest.
