Medi1 TV officially cleared to broadcast in Mali
Building on years of presence in Mali through Radio Méditerranée Internationale (Medi 1), which has been broadcasting in Bamako via FM for several years, Medi1 TV has now secured formal authorization to extend its reach with television programming across the country.

Medi1 TV has signed a landmark agreement with Mali’s High Authority for Communication (HAC), securing the legal framework to establish, operate, and broadcast its television programs nationwide.
The pan-African news channel emphasized that this authorization marks a significant milestone in its continental expansion strategy, reinforcing its commitment to fostering sovereign, balanced coverage of African realities and fostering dialogue between cultures.
Medi1 TV has already been serving Malian audiences for years through its FM radio station Medi 1 in Bamako. With this television expansion, the channel reaffirms its dedication to building lasting media partnerships that bridge knowledge gaps and strengthen cultural exchange across Africa.
As a public, continuous news channel with national, regional, and continental reach, Medi1 TV underscores its commitment to journalistic ethics, rigorous reporting standards, balanced news delivery, and strict adherence to Mali’s regulatory framework.
The channel is poised to deepen collaboration with Mali’s audiovisual sector through knowledge-sharing initiatives, professional training programs, and innovative digital projects designed to create sustainable, mutually beneficial outcomes.
Rooted in its identity as an African channel for African audiences, Medi1 TV delivers in-depth coverage of the continent’s current affairs, balanced analysis of geopolitical and economic challenges, and highlights developmental initiatives. By championing pluralistic, independent journalism, Medi1 TV serves as a trusted source of credible, accessible news for African citizens seeking reliable, high-quality information.
This agreement symbolizes the strong trust between Medi1 TV and Mali’s High Authority for Communication, while also reflecting the robust cooperation ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Mali. Both nations share a vision to advance a modern, professional, and globally connected African media landscape.
Founded in 2006 as a bilingual, community-focused continuous news channel for the Maghreb, Medi1 TV has since evolved into a comprehensive bouquet of multichannel, multilingual news platforms with regional and continental reach. Leveraging a diverse, multicultural team and a robust presence across key satellite and digital networks, Medi1 TV delivers timely, high-quality news coverage of African and global developments, empowering citizens and driving Africa’s progress.
