« To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return, » Sonko stated, underscoring the profound loss of a man he described as a father, friend, confidant, and guiding light.
The leader highlighted the spiritual and human virtues of the late Serigne, praising his dedication to both faith and service, and bestowing upon him the honorific title of « preux du travail et de la spiritualité » and « maître de Khelcom ».
Concluding his tribute with a moving prayer, Sonko appealed to divine mercy, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul: « O Allah, envelop him in Your boundless compassion and grant him passage to Your everlasting paradise. »
