After an official handover ceremony held on Thursday, Waly Diouf Bodiang, former Director-General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, has stepped down from his position following his dismissal by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. A staunch supporter of Ousmane Sonko, Bodiang played a pivotal role in the early days of the Pastef movement.
