Frank Garcia, the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, recently hosted Mahamat Tahir Orozi, Chad’s Ambassador to the United States, at the State Department in Washington, D.C. This significant diplomatic engagement occurred as the United States prepared for its Independence Day celebrations and looked ahead to August, which will mark 66 years of established diplomatic relations with Chad. 

Discussions during the meeting primarily focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in critical areas such as security, fostering improved economic relations, and actively promoting private investment opportunities between the two nations.
