N’Djamena – World Vision Tchad has rolled out its ambitious 2026–2030 national strategy, setting a transformative agenda to uplift the lives of 3.29 million children across the country. The initiative, unveiled during a high-profile press conference in the capital, integrates humanitarian aid, sustainable development, and peacebuilding into a unified vision for the nation’s most vulnerable young citizens.

A Groundbreaking Approach to Child Welfare and Nation-Building

The strategy targets 3.29 million children by 2030, with a sharp focus on 3.09 million of the most at-risk youth. Its pillars include enhanced healthcare, nutrition, education, child protection, and climate resilience—all aligned with Chad’s Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, and 16).

Carla Dominique Denizard, World Vision’s Regional Director for West Africa (based in Dakar), described the plan as « a bold leap toward holistic child development. » She emphasized the « Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus » framework, which bridges emergency relief with long-term growth and stability. « Every child in Chad deserves a life of dignity and opportunity, » she stated, highlighting the need for community-led solutions rooted in local cultures and values.

With nearly 42% of Chad’s population living below the poverty line, the urgency for scalable interventions has never been clearer.

Edouard Ngoy Wangoy, National Director of World Vision Tchad, called the strategy « a watershed moment » for the organization and the nation. « We’re not just aiming higher—we’re redefining what’s possible, » he said. The plan represents a 20% increase in ambition compared to the previous cycle, reflecting a commitment to reach every child, especially those in fragile communities.

The roadmap prioritizes:
