Ferran torres transfer saga PSG FC Barcelone stance revealed

With Gonçalo Ramos departing for AC Milan in a €74 million deal on June 30, Paris Saint-Germain are now laser-focused on landing Ferran Torres to fill the striker void. Reports suggest the Ligue 1 giants have already secured an initial agreement with the Spanish international, who boasts a contract valid until June 2027 at FC Barcelone.

Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelone, recently addressed the swirling Ferran Torres transfer rumors during a visit to Dallas before the FIFA World Cup semifinal clash between France and Spain. His response? A firm assertion of ownership over the player.

“We still await confirmation”

The Paris-based club’s reported five-year deal for Torres comes amid continued speculation over whether the player will make the switch. While Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s side appears close to finalizing terms, the fate of the transfer remains uncertain until official announcements are made.

“He is a Barcelona player”

Speaking candidly, Laporta emphasized that Torres remains a prized asset of the Catalan club. “Rumors about a Ferran Torres move to PSG? We’ve heard them, but no confirmation has reached us yet. He is a Barcelona player—one of the 14 we have here. Ferran is exceptionally effective; every time he steps onto the pitch, he poses a serious threat. His assist to Merino was outstanding. Whatever happens, we have outstanding players here at the World Cup, which is why I’m present,” he stated.
