Coventry City, promoted to the Premier League for the 2026–2027 campaign, have announced the permanent signing of Frank Onyeka from Brentford.
The Nigerian midfielder initially joined the Sky Blues on loan in January, and the club have now triggered the permanent transfer after the summer window opened. Onyeka played a vital role in Frank Lampard’s squad, helping secure the Sky Bet Championship title. He made 14 appearances and scored a spectacular goal in a decisive fixture against Derby County last April.
The 28-year-old brings significant top-flight experience, having featured 75 times in the Premier League during his spell with Brentford. The length of his contract has not been disclosed.
