Club OHADA UAM’s official launch and OHADA Law Pleading Ace Contest in Niamey

The Club OHADA of Université Abdou Moumouni in Niamey (Club OHADA UAM) is pleased to announce its official inaugural event, scheduled for May 22 and 23, 2026. This significant gathering will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and will explore the compelling theme: « OHADA, the past, the present and the future! ».

This academic and scientific initiative will coincide with the 8th edition of the OHADA Law Pleading Ace Competition. The competition aims to foster a deeper understanding of OHADA legal principles, enhance judicial rhetoric, and encourage scholarly discourse on the evolving landscape of uniform African business law.

Competition Topics

  • Preliminary Round : « Should business law be redefined within OHADA? »
  • Final Round : « OHADA Law: Business Law or Economic Activities Law? »

These selected topics highlight current discussions concerning the expansion of OHADA’s material scope and the imperative to adapt uniform law to contemporary African and global economic shifts.

Awards for the Victor

As communicated by the organizers, the winning participant in the competition will receive:
