As Côte d’Ivoire celebrated its 66th independence anniversary, former parliamentarian Méambly Tié Évariste shared a heartfelt message with compatriots, particularly those from the Cavally, Guémon and Tonkpi regions. His reflections marked both a personal milestone and a turning point in his public service career.
The veteran politician, who served as a Deputy for a decade, first President of the Guémon Regional Council and leader of the Agir pour le Peuple parliamentary group, emphasized that national service extends beyond political office. In his address, he stated: “The service of the Nation is not confined to a political role. It continues wherever experience, knowledge, investment and commitment can contribute to the progress of Côte d’Ivoire and Africa.”
From political halls to academic halls
Since departing the political arena, Méambly Tié Évariste has pursued advanced studies across continents. He earned a Master’s in management of organizations in Tunisia, followed by a second Master’s in public policy at Sciences Po Paris, specializing in African potential. Currently, he is completing a doctorate in management sciences, with his defense scheduled for October 2026.
Parallel to his academic pursuits, he has shared insights through writing. Among his published works are Vaincre ou l’art de transformer l’adversité en engagement, exploring resilience, and Partenariat public-privé et financement des infrastructures routières en milieu rural, analyzing innovative funding models for rural infrastructure. A third book, focusing on entrepreneurship, real estate and economic development, is set for release this October.
A shift toward entrepreneurship and investment
After years of dedicated service within the RHDP, Méambly Tié Évariste has decided to step back from partisan politics. Since 2012, he has focused much of his business activities outside Côte d’Ivoire, and since 2020, has based his enterprises in France to expand international partnerships. With his doctorate on the horizon, he now aims to channel his energy into business development, job creation, funding of major projects and fostering international collaborations for Africa’s benefit.
In his statement, he explained: “This decision is not directed against anyone. It does not diminish the respect and gratitude I hold for all those with whom I served our country.” It simply signals a new phase in his life, one devoted to entrepreneurship, knowledge sharing, investment and development.
Continuing commitment to national values
Though shifting focus, Méambly Tié Évariste reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to peace, national cohesion, education, innovation, investment and youth empowerment. He expressed gratitude to the people of Cavally, Guémon and Tonkpi, whose trust has remained a guiding force in his life.
In closing his message, he called for unity, hard work, solidarity and fraternity among Ivorians. He concluded with a hopeful wish: “Let us together envision a Côte d’Ivoire that is ever more united, prosperous and forward-looking.” His closing words echoed the enduring spirit of the nation’s independence: Vive la République de Côte d’Ivoire!
