The Bureau of the National Assembly has scheduled the opening of this extraordinary session for next Monday at 10 a.m., signaling a potentially transformative period for the country’s governance landscape.

According to decisions made by the Bureau, lawmakers will review two draft laws, three legislative proposals, and six requests to establish parliamentary inquiry commissions. Among the most anticipated items is a legislative proposal to amend Article 37 of the Constitution, which governs the declaration of assets by the President of the Republic. Additionally, legislators will examine a proposal aimed at regulating special credits and secret funds, a recurring topic in debates surrounding fiscal transparency.

Both proposals have already cleared an important hurdle, having been deemed admissible by the Bureau during their review in July.
