Malian troops have reported neutralizing nearly a hundred armed fighters during coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat, carried out with allied support this week.
In an official statement, the Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) confirmed that the strikes targeted members of the Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) and the National Liberation Front of Azawad (FLA). The operations included 13 airstrikes, which also resulted in the destruction of six combat vehicles and a pickup truck, along with the elimination of significant militant resources.
The armed forces emphasized that these operations took place on Tuesday and are part of a broader military campaign against armed groups across multiple regions. Military leadership reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining disciplined and resolute action, stressing continued collaboration with allied partners to sustain pressure on militant factions.
Meanwhile, the Russian Africa Corps shared details of the operation on their platform, highlighting the destruction or burning of numerous militant vehicles. Their statement also revealed that one of their drones successfully struck a vehicle carrying ammunition and military equipment, further disrupting the militants’ logistical capabilities. The Corps described the joint efforts as highly effective and vowed to persist in targeting militant positions and supply lines.
