Mali selects top talent for mohammed vi foundation’s hadith competition international final

The Malian section of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ouléma successfully concluded its national pre-selection phase for the 3rd edition of the esteemed Hadith Nabawi Acharif memorization competition. Held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Foundation’s headquarters in Banankabougou, the intense day-long contest saw three exceptional candidates emerge victorious. These chosen representatives will proudly carry Mali’s colors into the grand international final, where they will face laureates from 49 other nations.

This significant competition aligns perfectly with the directives issued by the High Council of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ouléma. The national pre-selection round brought together 50 dedicated candidates from various madrasas and Quranic memorization centers, representing both Bamako and the wider regions of Mali.

Through such initiatives, the Foundation aims to inspire and empower African youth to deeply engage with the prophetic teachings. A core objective is to champion the fundamental values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and moderation, which are central to these sacred texts and crucial for African society today.

The participants competed across three distinct categories: Ahmad Sow claimed victory in Discipline 1 (40 Hadiths – Elementary Level), Mouhamad Diallo excelled in Discipline 2 (30 Hadiths – Intermediate Level), and Boubacar Traoré secured the top prize in Discipline 3 (30 Hadiths – Superior Level).
