Morocco bolsters defence capabilities with advanced Turkish drone fleet

The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces have now deployed cutting-edge Turkish-made Bayraktar Akıncı drones, satellite images from the sixth air base in Ben Guerir confirm. The imagery shows that Morocco took delivery of these unmanned aerial vehicles early last year and has stationed them at this facility, where they operate together with the previously acquired Bayraktar TB2 drones.

These next-generation drones significantly enhance Morocco’s surveillance and strike capabilities, marking a major step forward in the modernisation of its air power. The integration of the Akıncı platform into existing operations demonstrates the kingdom’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology for national defence.
