Yet despite early reports linking him to PSG, the Parisian giants appear to have stepped back from negotiations, with club officials reportedly hesitant over the RB Leipzig valuation.
Diomande remains focused on the World Cup
Speaking to the media after his World Cup debut, Yan Diomande downplayed transfer rumors, emphasizing his commitment to the tournament: “My agents handle the details—I’m fully focused on the World Cup. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I’m making the most of every moment.”
Even Emerse Faé, manager of Côte d’Ivoire, weighed in, stating: “Earlier in France, journalists suggested he was heading to PSG. Now, upon arrival in the U.S., they claim it’s Liverpool. We’ll see. Liverpool edges out PSG in the race
While PSG once considered pursuing Diomande, sources indicate the club has opted to halt negotiations. The primary sticking point? A staggering €120 million asking price from RB Leipzig, which has reportedly deterred Parisian decision-makers. Meanwhile, Liverpool has reportedly finalized an agreement with the young Ivorian international (12 caps), putting them in pole position to secure his signature.
