Yaoundé: Cameroun senate session begins after final inspections

The Cameroun Senate is fully ready for the opening of its June 2026 ordinary session scheduled for tomorrow, 9 June 2026.

Demonstrating administrative thoroughness, the Senate Secretary General, Mr. Gustave Léopold Ngane, along with his deputy and senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Senate facilities at the Economic and Social Council this morning, 8 June 2026.

This final assessment aimed to confirm the readiness of all critical infrastructure for smooth parliamentary proceedings. The delegation carefully examined conference rooms, the VIP reception lounge, banquet halls, and the main chamber where senators will convene throughout the session.

After the inspection, the Secretary General expressed full confidence in the operational readiness of all installations. He confirmed that every logistical and technical preparation had been completed for the session’s opening.

In line with parliamentary tradition, the June ordinary session will focus on budget orientation debates, strategic exchanges between the Upper House and the Supreme Court’s Court of Auditors, as well as the thorough review and adoption of legislative bills.
