Following this result, both clubs have accumulated 18 points. The Munich squad retains the top spot in the table solely due to a superior goal difference of plus 19, compared to the plus 8 held by their rivals.

Injury concerns and missed penalty opportunities

Beyond the dropped points, the home team suffered significant physical setbacks. Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry were both forced off the pitch in the first half. Late in the game, Michael Olise also sustained a right knee issue following a collision with Nico Schlotterbeck.

On the offensive end, Harry Kane struggled to finish his chances. He failed to convert from the spot in the 56th minute, striking Gregor Kobel’s crossbar, and later hit the woodwork again from close range in the 76th minute.

Pre-match Ballon d’Or ceremony

Before kickoff, the English striker was honored in front of 75,000 fans at the Allianz Arena for his recent Ballon d’Or victory in London. He carried the trophy onto the pitch, greeted by a center-circle banner and a special projection on the nearby Olympic park tower, while his family watched from the stands. Despite his missed penalty, he did manage to provide the assist for the second home goal of the afternoon.
