Cameroun public sector jobs open for 2305 positions in 2026

Cameroon’s civil service announces recruitment drive for 2305 posts in 2026

The Cameroonian government has unveiled a comprehensive recruitment plan for the 2026 fiscal year, offering 2305 positions across multiple state administrations. The Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform, Joseph Le, initiated the process by publishing 36 decrees outlining participation guidelines on June 4. These documents detail the distribution of available roles within the public sector.

For standard recruitment, 890 positions are available, including 470 direct entry roles aimed at professionals in financial institutions, agriculture, mining, civil engineering, livestock, maritime fisheries, telecommunications, and public health. Additionally, 100 spots are reserved for the National Institute of Youth and Sports (INJS) and the National Youth and Sports Centers (CENAJES) training programs, while 220 places are earmarked for the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM). Another 100 roles will be filled through selection tests.

Special recruitment initiatives, approved by the President of the Republic for the health and education sectors, account for 1200 positions. This includes 1000 slots for free auditors at the Higher Normal Schools (ENS) and Teacher Training Colleges (ENSET). Another 200 roles are designated for specialist physicians, complementing 920 healthcare positions announced in early April 2026. Candidates for the free auditor program must select their preferred school during the application phase and will take tests at regional centers hosting their chosen institutions.

An additional 215 positions will be filled through professional competitive exams. It’s worth noting that the 2026 intake represents a reduction of 555 posts compared to 2025, when 2860 positions were advertised.
