The General Secretariat of the Government of Chad has organized a four-day technical validation workshop to assess the biennial progress report of the Head of State’s agenda. Running from June 2 to 5 in N’Djaména, the event brings together officials, experts, and stakeholders to rigorously evaluate achievements between May 2024 and May 2026.
Government leaders engage in transparent review of national priorities
During the opening ceremony at the Radisson Blu hotel in N’Djaména, Dr. Ramatou Mahamat Outouin, the Government Secretary-General, emphasized that this workshop goes beyond mere document review. It serves as a vital platform to assess the government’s accountability to the Chadian people and measure progress against the commitments made since 2024.
The minister highlighted the core principles guiding this evaluation: transparency, citizen trust, and measurable results. She stressed that every policy and initiative must translate into tangible benefits for farmers, educators, entrepreneurs, and communities across the nation. « This is not about issuing compliments, but about understanding our true progress and identifying where improvements are needed, » she stated.
Rigorous assessment to drive future action
The biennial report, which covers two years of governance under President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno’s leadership, reflects both achievements and ongoing challenges. Dr. Outouin acknowledged the dedication of the teams involved in compiling the data: « Behind every statistic lies the hard work of civil servants who have strived to present an accurate picture of our national progress. »
The workshop encourages an honest, fact-based dialogue, ensuring that the final report mirrors the reality on the ground. It is a moment of collective reflection, where participants are urged to approach the process with both rigor and responsibility. The goal is clear: to ensure that the government’s actions align with the needs and aspirations of the Chadian people.
