Chelsea Football Club has finalized the acquisition of England international Morgan Rogers, marking a strategic move ahead of the upcoming season. The 23-year-old attacking talent joins the Blues from Aston Villa, signing a long-term contract that binds him to Stamford Bridge until 2033.
Under the guidance of manager Xabi Alonso, Rogers will integrate into a squad already brimming with emerging stars. His arrival follows a standout spell at Aston Villa, where his contributions—40 goals and assists combined in 85 Premier League appearances—were instrumental in securing a fourth-place finish and lifting the Europa League trophy last season.
Rogers’ rise has been meteoric. Since making his England debut in November 2024, he has cemented his place in the Three Lions’ lineup, featuring in 22 international matches, including the 2026 World Cup, where he played a pivotal role in England’s historic third-place finish.
The transfer, reportedly valued at €117 million (£138 million), positions Rogers as Chelsea’s second most expensive signing of all time—trailing only Alexander Isak’s move from Newcastle to Liverpool the previous summer.
