After a 20-day tour across all nine provinces of Gabon, Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, founder and president of the Party for the 7 Wonders of the Gabonese People (7MP), delivered the results of a mission that went far beyond a simple outreach exercise. The tour focused on restructuring local party branches, recounting active members, and strengthening the Mouvement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%), signaling the 7MP’s determination to solidify its role within the presidential majority under the Fifth Republic.
From June 4 to 23, 2026, Ndzengouma traveled across the country to meet with militants, supporters, local leaders, and citizens. During a press conference at the 7MP headquarters in Libreville, he outlined the tour’s impact, emphasizing its role in revitalizing the political party and reinforcing its support for President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. Founded in 2010, the 7MP now positions itself as a party within the presidential movement. The MON 100%, launched in February 2025, was created to back the reforms initiated by the head of state and to rally citizens behind his agenda.
A tour for political restructuring
Beyond engaging with communities, the mission aimed to reorganize the party’s structures nationwide. According to 7MP officials, the tour enabled a recount of active militants, registration of new members, identification of fresh local leaders, and strengthening of provincial coordination. The Mouvement Oligui Nguema 100% also advanced its own expansion across the nine provinces, seeking to unite more citizens around the president’s vision.
Ndzengouma noted that the tour came at a crucial time, with the institutions of the Fifth Republic being established. Discussions with militants reaffirmed the 7MP’s commitment to standing alongside the president and supporting the reforms undertaken since the Transition. This effort is part of a broader reshuffling of Gabon’s political landscape, where several parties are working to cement their territorial presence after the presidential, legislative, and local elections.
Field-oriented ambitions
Following the mission, the 7MP announced several steps to continue its growth: reinforcing provincial coordination, multiplying citizen meetings, structuring the MON 100%, and setting up a permanent system to gather public concerns. Beyond organizational results, the tour marks a key phase in the 7MP’s strategy to strengthen its foothold within the presidential majority and to support the political direction of the Fifth Republic, while expanding its presence among communities nationwide.
