During a high-level meeting in Rabat, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov emphasized the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Morocco, highlighting significant potential for expanding bilateral trade and investment ties.

Following his discussions with Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Kuantyrov announced his country’s intent to import Moroccan goods directly—bypassing intermediaries—to access high-quality products from the Kingdom.

The Kazakh delegation, led by Kuantyrov, is in Morocco to strengthen economic cooperation and explore new trade opportunities.

Kazakhstan also expressed interest in ramping up exports of wheat, finished goods, and other commodities to Morocco. The two nations share a strong political alignment on international issues and mutual support on global platforms.

For his part, Minister Mezzour underscored the shared commitment to deepen Kazakhstan-Morocco relations, noting that Kazakhstan’s abundant resources—including gas, cereals, and meat—align perfectly with Morocco’s needs. These resources, he added, could enhance Morocco’s food security, stabilize household purchasing power, and reduce living costs.

The officials reaffirmed their dedication to fostering a robust, sustainable economic partnership that bolsters bilateral trade, ensures supply chain security, and encourages mutual investment.
