The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) announced on Thursday that coordinated military operations conducted with allied partners in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat resulted in the elimination of nearly 100 armed fighters.
According to an official statement, these operations specifically targeted members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA). The strikes included 13 airstrikes, which also led to the destruction of six combat vehicles and a pickup truck.
The military highlighted that the operations took place on Tuesday, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to combating armed groups across the country. They emphasized that these efforts would continue with “discipline and firmness,” in close cooperation with their partners.
A separate statement from the African Corps on the platform X confirmed the destruction and burning of numerous militant vehicles. Additionally, one of their drones successfully targeted another vehicle transporting ammunition and military supplies.
The African Corps noted that these operations were part of what they described as “successful joint efforts” alongside Malian forces against regional armed factions. They pledged to persist in striking militant positions and equipment to further weaken their operational capacity.
