Morocco reinforces humanitarian commitment as a pillar of African cooperation

Morocco has established humanitarian initiatives as a fundamental component of its foreign policy and continental partnerships. This approach follows the strategic vision of King Mohammed VI, as articulated by Mohamed Arrouchi, the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the African Union and the UNECA, during a session of the AU Peace and Security Council.

Under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, who serves as the African Union Champion on migration issues, the Kingdom remains dedicated to placing humanitarian concerns at the forefront of its international relations. During a public meeting focused on the challenges facing refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) across the continent, Arrouchi emphasized that Morocco continues to dedicate significant resources to alleviating humanitarian crises throughout Africa.
