New EU ambassador presents credentials to Chad’s president

The European Union’s newly appointed ambassador to Chad, Amador Sanchez Rico, formally presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19, in a ceremony steeped in diplomatic protocol.

The event took place at the Palais Toumaï, with key figures in attendance, including Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of State for Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Integration and Chadians Abroad. The ambassador was accompanied by Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation for the European Union Delegation in Chad.
