Ousmane Sonko, serving as the President of the National Assembly, articulated his profound grief concerning the demise of Serigne Abdou Bakhi Mbacké. The spiritual leader, who was the esteemed Khalife of the Khassim Mbacké family in Guinguinéo, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
In a heartfelt message of condolence, Sonko paid tribute to the memory of the religious guide. He recalled the numerous occasions they met during his visits to Guinguinéo.

“It is with immense emotion and deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Serigne Abdou Bakhi Mbacké, the revered Khalife of the Khassim Mbacké family of Guinguinéo,” Sonko stated.
