At the headquarters of his political movement, Pastef, opposition leader Ousmane Sonko addressed a packed crowd of supporters during the recent membership card sales campaign. The event drew enthusiastic participants from across the country, underscoring the growing momentum behind the party’s grassroots strategy.
Addressing the gathering, Sonko disclosed that the initiative had already generated over 160 million FCFA in revenue. The funds, he noted, would be instrumental in strengthening the party’s organizational capacity and expanding its outreach efforts nationwide.
Highlighting the significance of the campaign, Sonko praised the unwavering dedication of Pastef’s activists. In a rousing address delivered in Wolof, he emphasized the collective strength of the movement with the phrase: « Dolé gi Pastef am, Pastef sax xamuko. », a rallying cry meant to reinforce unity and resilience among supporters.
