Ahead of the upcoming World Cup, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is set to address several transfer-related issues, with one of the most pressing being that of Brazilian winger Bradley Barcola. Sources close to the club indicate that negotiations are underway between Barcola’s representatives and PSG, but it appears that a new contract may not be on the cards. With Barcola’s current deal set to expire in 2028, speculation is rife about his future at the Parc des Princes.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an Italian football journalist, Barcola is expected to meet with his agents to discuss his options. While it’s unclear whether a new contract will be offered, Romano suggests that a departure from PSG could be on the cards if a lucrative offer is received from another club.
One such club reportedly interested in signing Barcola is Liverpool, who have been linked to the Brazilian winger for some time. However, with Arsenal also showing interest in Barcola’s services, it remains to be seen whether PSG will be able to retain their star player.
In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Romano stated that while Liverpool is indeed interested in signing Barcola, they should not have too much competition from Arsenal, who are reportedly closing in on Morgan Rodgers, another winger target for the Gunners.
