PSG vs Lens match live streaming: why Ligue 1+ won’t broadcast the clash
The clash between the league leaders and their closest rivals holds immense significance. Luis Enrique’s side will travel to Bollaert-Delelis Stadium aiming to secure the title before the season finale. Victory here would not only mark a historic achievement but also allow the club to shift focus to the upcoming UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal on 30 May.
Fans expecting to watch the match on Ligue 1+ will need to tune in to beIN Sports instead. The channel retains exclusive broadcasting rights for this fixture, a decision driven by the original scheduling and subsequent adjustments.
Original scheduling dictated broadcast rights
The highly anticipated match was initially set for Saturday, 11 April at 17:15—a slot reserved for beIN Sports. However, Paris Saint-Germain requested a postponement due to a congested schedule, including three matches, two of which were away games, within a single week. While Lens opposed the rescheduling, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) sided with PSG and moved the fixture to 13 May.
Despite the date change, beIN Sports retained the broadcasting rights as per the original agreement. If PSG claim all three points in Lens, they will officially become champions. Otherwise, they will have to wait until the final matchday against Paris FC, while Lens prepares to face Lyon. With a six-point lead, the suspense for PSG’s title triumph has largely faded.
