Real Madrid: two reasons blocking Aurélien Tchouaméni’s potential exit

Could Aurélien Tchouaméni be leaving Real Madrid this summer? The 26-year-old midfielder, currently representing France at the 2026 World Cup, has frequently been linked with a move away. However, two key factors are reportedly stalling the French international’s departure for now.

Since joining in summer 2022, Aurélien Tchouaméni might see his stint at Real Madrid come to an end this summer. While he is competing in the 2026 World Cup with the French national team, the French international has been repeatedly mentioned as a potential departure in recent days. Manchester United is reportedly keeping a close eye on the 26-year-old midfielder’s transfer. Yet, two specific reasons are said to be blocking a possible move for Aurélien Tchouaméni to the Red Devils.

“Real Madrid is not inclined to open the door for Tchouaméni”

The two issues regarding Tchouaméni remain the same. The first is his salary. He has a high wage, and for now, that’s not what Manchester United wants to do. Manchester United likes him and considers him a fantastic player. But at the moment, Real Madrid is not inclined to open the door for Tchouaméni. A phone call from Real Madrid to Manchester United telling them he is for sale isn’t happening. But if it did, Manchester United would be ready to try. However, there is a problem with the salary, and the fact that Real Madrid hasn’t opened the door yet,” said Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel.

Real Madrid focuses on reinforcements

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will ultimately be open to Aurélien Tchouaméni‘s departure. The Madrid board is currently concentrating on reinforcements for José Mourinho. After Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konaté, the Merengue are unlikely to stop there. A departure for Aurélien Tchouaméni is therefore not a priority for Casa Blanca at this time.
