The organization strongly urges authorities to intensify their messages of national cohesion and to appeal to their supporters to cease all rhetoric that might deepen divisions among the populace.
VSV believes that political leaders across the spectrum must exercise restraint to prevent a further escalation of tensions. The organization emphasizes that the nation’s supreme interest must take precedence over any partisan or communal considerations.
In its communication, the Voix des sans voix reiterated that the Democratic Republic of Congo is navigating a particularly sensitive period due to the ongoing security crisis in the eastern part of the country. In this delicate context, maintaining national unity and strengthening cohesion among Congolese citizens is deemed indispensable.
The organization also issued a warning against narratives that could fuel political, ethnic, or regional rifts, asserting that no affiliation should ever outweigh the national interest.
