Olympique de Marseille are preparing to sell Mason Greenwood to balance the books, with AS Roma, Atlético de Madrid and Fenerbahçe among the clubs interested. The French club have set a minimum asking price of €50 million for the English striker.

Roma believe they can force OM to lower their price
Italian media report that AS Roma are optimistic about securing Greenwood for around €40 million, plus bonuses. The Serie A side qualified for the next Champions League and see the Marseille forward as a prime target. OM are under pressure from the French football financial watchdog (DNCG) to raise funds quickly, which the Romans believe will push the club to accept a lower fee.
How much will OM actually sell Greenwood for?
Will Olympique de Marseille ultimately accept less than €50 million for Mason Greenwood, as Roma’s directors expect? Some observers argue that the €50 million price tag is already reasonable. French journalist Karim Bennani recently stated that a striker capable of scoring 20 goals per season in Ligue 1 is a bargain at that price. He suggested OM should wait until July 1 to trigger a clause raising the fee to €60 million before negotiating with buyers.
