FINADEV Tchad liquidated by COBAC after licence withdrawal

The Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) has revoked the operating licence of Financial Development Tchad (FINADEV Tchad S.A.), a microfinance institution in Chad’s capital, N’Djamena, triggering its official liquidation.

In an official statement dated February 5, 2026, the COBAC imposed this disciplinary measure, stripping FINADEV Tchad S.A. of its second-category microfinance licence. The decision took effect immediately upon notification, marking the beginning of the liquidation process for the institution.

The liquidation procedure has been assigned a maximum duration of one year, with the possibility of extension if required.
