Ivorian PM rallies investors at PND 2026-2030 consultative forum in Abidjan

The second day of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 consultative forum, dedicated to investors, kicked off on July 9, 2026 at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

Robert Beugré Mambé opened the session by emphasizing the forum’s pivotal role in driving private investment to fuel the country’s growth ambitions.

« Today marks another milestone in our consultative process, focusing on investment, enterprise, and value creation. Our goal is to mobilize private capital to turn these development aspirations into reality, » he stated. The Prime Minister highlighted the presence of over 700 international investors from allied nations, underscoring the strong global confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic outlook.

The gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, all converging in Abidjan to engage in high-level discussions. Robert Beugré Mambé stressed that this platform fosters critical dialogue between government and private stakeholders while aligning shared visions for sustainable progress.

« Your commitment speaks volumes about the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory. As key partners, you play an indispensable role in shaping a more competitive and job-creating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest in this vision, » he remarked.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the country’s robust economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years despite global uncertainties. This stability, he noted, cements Côte d’Ivoire’s status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.

« This is a market brimming with opportunity, » he asserted. « Today’s proceedings will fast-track investments in priority sectors of the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing for added value, strategic infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to bolster competitiveness. We also aim to invest in human capital, innovation, and essential services to cultivate a more productive and inclusive economy. »

Robert Beugré Mambé also recalled the first day of the forum, which attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, where institutional partners and development strategies were unveiled.

In a show of solidarity, leaders from key business networks echoed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s leadership. Ahmed Cissé, President of the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi (President of the Confédération générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM)), and Mohamed Gouled (Vice-President of the Société financière internationale (SFI)), pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030, reinforcing their readiness to contribute to its implementation.
