The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has strongly condemned recent terror plots thwarted in Morocco, reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with Rabat in safeguarding national security and stability.
The statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates highlighted the serious threat posed by these planned attacks, which targeted public order and endangered lives and property across Morocco.
Addressing the media, Ambassador Fouad Majali, the ministry’s spokesperson, emphasized Jordan’s full support for Morocco’s efforts to neutralize these threats and protect its citizens. He stressed that any attempt to undermine Morocco’s security would be met with a unified response from Amman.
The declaration follows Morocco’s announcement of the dismantling of highly dangerous terror networks, nearing the final stages of execution. A coordinated operation, based on intelligence from the General Directorate for National Security (DGST), led to the arrests of radicalized individuals in multiple Moroccan cities.
Initial investigations reveal that the suspects were linked to a regional terror cell, receiving logistical and operational support from Daech’s affiliate in the Sahel.
