The meeting centered on regional security concerns and how both nations can further bolster bilateral cooperation across multiple fronts, reinforcing their shared strategic interests. General Haftar highlighted the long-standing fraternal ties binding Libya and Chad, reaffirming his country’s commitment to deepening military and security collaboration to tackle common challenges and bolster regional stability.
For his part, President Déby praised Field Marshal Khalifa Abou al-Qasim Haftar and the Libyan Arab Armed Forces for their pivotal role in safeguarding Libya’s internal security and stability, emphasizing how such progress positively influences peace and security across the Sahel.
