Morocco reiterated its unwavering commitment on Wednesday before the African Union’s Peace and Security Council (AU PSC), emphasizing the critical need to bolster the safeguarding of children impacted by armed conflicts. The kingdom specifically highlighted strategies focused on preventing their recruitment, ensuring their immediate protection, and facilitating their sustainable reintegration into society.
During a pivotal AU PSC meeting dedicated to the theme of «protection of child soldiers in Africa», the Moroccan delegation underscored that children tragically remain among the primary victims of the persistent conflicts across the continent. These vulnerable youngsters are exposed to forced recruitment, widespread violence, and severe disruptions to their education, all of which profoundly jeopardize their long-term future.
