Senegal’s president unveils new political movement kiiraay to drive reforms

Senegal has entered a new political chapter as President Bassirou Diomaye Faye officially inaugurated his latest political vehicle, KIIRAAY – Les Patriotes Républicains, in the capital city of Dakar on Saturday, July 25. This launch represents a pivotal shift in the nation’s political landscape, following his decisive break from the PASTEF party and its former leader, Ousmane Sonko, who once served as his mentor in the opposition movement.
