Laborex Tchad marks three decades of pharmaceutical excellence

Laborex Tchad, a subsidiary of the CFAO Healthcare group, commemorated its 30th anniversary on May 28, marking three decades as a cornerstone in Chad’s pharmaceutical distribution sector. The milestone celebration highlighted the company’s unwavering commitment to delivering essential medicines and medical supplies nationwide, solidifying its role as a trusted partner for pharmacies, hospitals, and health centers across Chad’s major cities.

Since its establishment in 1996, Laborex Tchad has played a pivotal role in strengthening the national health system by ensuring reliable access to high-quality pharmaceutical products. Its operations span from N’Djamena and Moundou to Sarh, Abéché, Bongor, and beyond, reaching even the most remote regions of the country.

The anniversary event featured speeches from key figures, including Ms. Ngarmbatina Sou IV, Chair of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Sébastien Roux, Deputy Zone Director of CFAO Healthcare. Ms. Sou IV opened by expressing deep gratitude to Chadian authorities for their unwavering support throughout Laborex Tchad’s growth. She also acknowledged financial partners, pharmacists, medical warehouses, hospitals, and all customers who have placed their trust in the company over the years.

« Choosing Laborex Tchad isn’t about routine—it’s about trust, » she remarked. « Our mission is simple: the right medication, in the right place, at the right time, for every patient across Chad. »

With evident emotion, she added, « Thirty years is no small feat. But we’re just getting started—there’s at least 70 more years ahead. »

Mr. Sébastien Roux took the floor to reflect on his 24-year journey with CFAO Healthcare, lauding Laborex Tchad’s enduring human spirit. He paid tribute to former leaders, including Ms. Maria Mion Calvet, and praised the current leadership under General Manager Ms. Tignocqua for maintaining the company’s youthful dynamism.

« Laborex is a seasoned company, yet it remains young at heart, thanks to its dedicated team, » he stated. He also extended his thanks to the Ministry of Public Health for its close collaboration, partner laboratories, financial institutions, and all employees for their relentless dedication.

« It’s through your collective efforts that we ensure Chad’s healthcare system receives a steady, reliable supply of pharmaceutical products, » he emphasized.

The celebration closed on a joyful note, infused with traditional rhythms from the balafon, a musical instrument that left a lasting impression on attendees.
