The African development agenda is being shaped by forums where public officials, international financial institutions, and economists come together.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of Planning and Development, Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, addressed the opening session of the African Economic Conference 2026, alongside the President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr. Sidi Ould Tah, and representatives from the United Nations and the OECD, who co-organized this conference with the ECOWAS Commission.
Each year, this meeting brings together top officials from development institutions, chief economists at multilateral banks, central banks, research centers, and public officials to discuss major economic transformations that will shape the continent’s future.
In a context marked by geopolitical realignments and new financing challenges for development, Côte d’Ivoire shared its experience in strategic planning, investment mobilization, and economic transformation through its National Development Plan 2026-2030.
As Governor of the African Development Bank for Côte d’Ivoire, the Minister presented the Government’s vision for a development based on anticipatory public policies, durable reforms, and an investment-friendly framework.
Through this participation, Côte d’Ivoire reaffirmed its commitment to contributing actively to Africa’s policy development debates and sharing a well-known experience in planning, coordinating public policies, and mobilizing partners.
