Côte d’Ivoire’s prime minister rallies investors for PND 2026-2030 growth

The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off in Abidjan on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. Over 700 investors from partner nations gathered to explore opportunities for boosting the national economy.

The event, dedicated to private investment and value creation, marked a pivotal moment in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory. Robert Beugré Mambé emphasized the significance of this gathering, stating, « This session represents a new milestone in our consultative process, focusing on investment, enterprise, and value generation. Our goal is to secure the private capital essential for achieving development ambitions. I am delighted to see more than 700 investors from friendly nations participating in this initiative. »

Addressing a high-profile audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of collaboration. « Your presence here today reflects the trust you place in the Ivorian economy’s potential and growth prospects. As key partners, you play a decisive role in realizing our vision of a more competitive and job-creating economy. The success of this ambition hinges on your willingness to invest, » he remarked.

Robert Beugré Mambé underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s resilient economy, with an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, ranks among Africa’s most dynamic. « This is a market brimming with opportunities, and today’s discussions will accelerate investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030. »

The Prime Minister outlined priority areas for investment, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition, infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to boost competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that foster a more productive and inclusive economy.

He also pointed out that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.

In response, leaders from prominent business organizations reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian government’s vision.
