Women in Lake province unite to support security forces against Boko Haram

In the Lake province, where security pressures have intensified following recent Boko Haram attacks, women have taken a stand. On Friday, May 22, 2026, in Baga-Sola, members of the Provincial Women’s Network gathered to demonstrate unwavering support for the defense and security forces, urging solidarity in the face of terrorist threats.

Led by the President of the Provincial Women’s Network, Achta Adoum Abdoulaye, a delegation of women met with the Government Delegate for the Lake province, General Saleh Haggar Tidjani, at the Baga-Sola headquarters. Their mission was clear: to reinforce morale, provide logistical and material assistance to the forces battling Boko Haram.
